Challenge: Imagine that the credit card that a customer linked to their PayPal account is about to expire. If that happens, the customer won’t be able to purchase items with PayPal any more.
Goal: Write a notification message about the above scenario that the customer will see upon login to the PayPal.com website – let them know that they have just one more week to update a linked credit card.
Challenge: A shopper is in the middle of paying for something in-store but hasn’t yet uploaded a profile photo, which is required to make a payment.
Goal: Write an in-app notification message encouraging the shopper to upload a photo so they can pay.
In addition, despite our best efforts, that shopper from scenario 1 forgot to update their credit card when it expired. Write content for a screen that will interrupt them in the middle of making a purchase in the store – make sure they know that they can still update the card, but keep in mind that they can’t complete the purchase until they do.
Challenge: Imagine that there were transactions on a merchant’s PayPal account that the Risk department flagged as potentially fraudulent. PayPal has placed a temporary limitation on the merchant account that reduces the amount the merchant can withdraw to only 25% of their total PayPal balance until the merchant can provide documentation about the transactions for resolution.
Goal: Tell us how you would you communicate this situation to the merchant without losing their business? What channels would you use to deliver the communication? Write the communication and explain your strategy.
